August 2006 - Summer Sweets
Well, some of you regular photo watchers may have noticed it's been a while since we've updated the Photo of the Month. Not much I can say for myself, other than sometimes life (and the bunnies in my life!) gets in the way. I had planned to feature a picture of one of the little cuties that was keeping me busier than normal this spring and early summer, but when Karen N sent in this picture of Rocky enjoying a piece of watermelon, it seemed entirely too summery and fitting to not feature it as our August photo.
We absolutely love how happy and indulgent Rocky looks with watermelon juice dripping off his chin and hope you enjoy it too. Karen told us, "It took a few tries to get a picture with it in his mouth like that because he just attacks it. I'm still trying to get a good picture of him while he's getting ready to take a bite - he curls his lips back to dig in (kinda like people do) - it's hysterical. Whenever I buy watermelon, I always put it down and let the bunnies take a few bites before I do. Its just so cute and it makes Rocky so happy - it's one of his favorite treats." The proper bunny diet advocates among us will want to make sure I point out that Karen said "a few bites". This is obviously not a bunny-sized serving of fruit! : )
